Edwin G. Carroll, 78, of the 3600 block of Bell St., died Aug. 15, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Carroll, a native of Norfolk and the retired owner of E.G. Carroll General Contractors, was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include one daughter, Edwina C. Brewer of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Frank T. Carroll of San Antonio, Texas, John W. Carroll of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Fred A. Brewer Jr., Michael E. Brewer, B. Troy Brewer; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, by the Rev. Ted Bashford, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today. The family will be at the home of the daughter, 5749 Mojave Court, Virginia Beach.
