MARGARET G. BROWN

Margaret Estelle Greene Brown, 82, of 1385 Cypress Chapel Road, died Aug. 16, 1995.

A native of Gates County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Percival D. amd Ella Askew Greene, and the widow of Grady Brown. Mrs. Brown was a member of First Baptist Church, the Adult 8 Sunday School Class, the church's adult choir, and the senior citizens choir. She was a former member of the Kittrell's Missionary Society of Gates County. She established the Grady Brown Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

Survivors include two daughters, Jill Brown Lang of Gatesville, N.C., and Ginny Brown Asimos of Suffolk; two sons, Ted Michael Brown of Suffolk, and Grady M. Brown of Colonial Heights, Va.; one sister, Pattie G. Cross of Gatesville, N.C.; and one brother, J. Carlton Greene of Hampton, Va.; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services wil be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the R.W. Baker & Company Funeral Home, Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Christian School, 237 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434.
