LYMON S. DUPREE

Lymon S. ``Shagg'' Dupree, of the 2200 block of E. Berkley Ave., died Aug. 14, 1995.

He was born in Pitt County, N.C. He was a member of the Olive Grove Baptist Church where he served as a faithful member of the male usherboard until his illness and a member of the Broad Lawn Citizen Club.

He is survived by one daughter, Priscilla Preston; one son, Clarence Jamison of Norfolk; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, William, Ernest and Frank Dupree of Wilson, N.C.; five sisters, Mary Turner of Tyler, Texas, Evangelists Bessie Dew and Bertha Ward of Wilson, N.C., and Charity Parker and Ada Boyette of Chesapeake.

The funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, by the Rev. Dr. Harry A. Davis in Olive Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery. Fitchett Funeral Home in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
