NORMAN C. KEETER

Norman Calvin Keeter, 71, of the 1100 block of Raleigh St., died Friday morning, Aug. 18, 1995, in the Albemarle Hospital. He was a native of Merry Hill, N.C., and a retired civil servant.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Perry Keeter; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Perry Keeter and Trish J. Keeter of Wilmington, N.C.; two sisters, Frances Lane of Edenton and Mary Alice Bazemore of Windsor, N.C.; two brothers, Aubrey C. Keeter of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., Lewis Thomas Keeter of Charlotte, N.C.; one grandson, Christian Scott Keeter of Wilmington. Mr. Keeter was preceded in death by a son, Norman Chris Keeter.

The funeral will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church by Dr. Furman Hewitt, Dr. Doug Murray, and Mr. Ray S. Jones Jr. Burial will follow in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at their residence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, the Albemarle Regional Cancer Center or to one's favorite charity. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, is handling the arrangements.
