JAMES H. COX

James Henderson Cox, 71, of the 2900 block of Venus St., died Aug. 17, 1995, in the Hampton VA Hospital, of cancer.

He was a native of Hemmingway, S.C., and was a retired self-employed electrical contractor. He was a member of the Moose Lodge (NU)39 in Virginia.

He is survived by his mother, Eliose Altman Cox of Wanchese, N.C.; one daughter, Anne Cox Speidel of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; one son, James Murray Cox of Wanchese, N.C.; two sisters, Betty Pryor of Charleston, S.C., and Jean Merrill of Lake Clarke Shore, Fla.; two brothers, Ronald W. Cox and Jack D. Cox of Wanchese, N.C.; grandchildren, Rhonda A. Cox of Wanchese, N.C., and Monica Speidel of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; and a companion of 11 years, Pat. S. Conner and family; and neighbor and friends, Mindy Tarrant and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Ernest Cox.

The burial will be at sea by the Navy with full Military Honors.
