U.S. Marine Management Inc. recaptured a federal contract to operate and maintain up to 12 ocean surveillance ships for the Navy. The Norfolk firm has operated the vessels since 1989. The five-year Military Sealift Command contract awarded this week is worth up to $112.7 million. ``It keeps us in business,'' said Chief Executive Bradford Sauer. The T-AGOS surveillance vessels, some of which are homeported at the Little Creek Amphibious Base, are equipped with sophisticated sonar to detect submarines. (Staff) by CNB
