[HURRICANE SCRAPBOOK] THIS STORM WAS ANYTHING BUT THE NORM

HURRICANE FELIX was an uninvited guest who quickly wore out his welcome.

Packing sustained winds of 80 mph, Felix slowly crawled across the Atlantic from Bermuda then sat offshore teasing and taunting the coastline before weakening into a tropical storm by week's end.

Virginia Beach residents and visitors alike jumped into action quickly Tuesday then were forced to watch and wait to see what the storm system would do.

Though he huffed and he puffed, he thankfully didn't blow any houses in.

But oh the headaches and anxiety Felix caused. . . .
