Roosevelt Hall Sr., 71, of the 1200 block of Elliott St., died Aug. 16, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.
Mr. Hall, a retired streets and bridges laborer, worked for the City of Norfolk for 25 years. He was born in Mathews, Va., to the late Eli Brooks and Daisy Hall Jackson. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Ender Hall; five daughters, Joyce Hall, Sarah Hall, Ophelia Hall and Eugenia Hall, all of Norfolk, and Phyllis Gillins of Virginia Beach; four sons, William Hall, Roosevelt Hall Jr., S.S.G. Earl Hall, all of Norfolk, and Alvin Hall of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Junious Hall of Louisiana; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday, Aug. 22, 1995, in Riddick Funeral Chapel, by Elder John Wooten. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the residence.
