Edward Holland Hill, 83, of 224 Woodridge Dr., died Aug. 18, 1995, in Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie, N.C.
Mr. Hill was a retired heavy equipment operator for North Carolina Department of Transportation. He was born in Hertford County, N.C., and was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Whitley Hill; one daughter, Sara Frances Hill of Greenville, N.C.; two nieces; two nephews; and one cousin.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. today in Murfreesboro Baptist Church by Dr. Davis Smith. Burial will be in Buckhorn Baptist Church Cemetery, Como, N.C. Memorial donations may be made to the Murfreesboro Rescue Squad, Murfreesboro, N.C. 27855. Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, in charge.
