Alice Dawson Collins, 76, of 34506 Brookside Court, died Aug. 19, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Collins, a native of Windsor, N.C., was a former resident of Hampton. She was the daughter of the late John Henry and Sallie Castellow Dawson and was the widow of Archie D. Collins. She was retired as manager of High's Ice Cream in Hampton. She was a member of the Assembly of God.
Survivors include one son, Richard Harrell of Franklin; one brother, John Henry Dawson Jr. of Hampton; two granddaughters, Norma Jean Haney and Judith Anne Lewis; three great-granddaughters, Emily, Nana, and Tiffany Lewis.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 1995, in Wright Funeral Home. The burial will be at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
