Eddie Donald Wilson Sr., 60, died Aug. 19, 1995, at his residence.
Mr. Wilson was a native of South Norfolk and retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad as a bridge tender, and was presently employed at Whitehurst Transportation Company as a truck driver. He was a member of the VFW and the Tidewater Bluegrass Music Association.
Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Mitchell W. Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Shirley C. Wison, and his mother, Mrs. Marion F. Wilson, both of Chesapeake. Survivors also include one son, Eddie Donald Wilson Jr. of Virginia Beach; one brother, Charles L. Wilson of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three step-grandchildren, Ava Smith, Tony Tart Jr., and Ararh Tart, all of Chesapeake.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 21, 1995, at 2 p.m. in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, with the Rev. Billy R. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sanderlin Family Cemetery, Shawboro, N.C. The family will be receiving friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and other times at the residence.
