Tony Lamont Winfield, 21, of 6201 Hightower Road, Apartment E, died Aug. 17, 1995, in the 2200 block of High St., Portsmouth.
He was born in Portsmouth and attended Mount Nebo R.Z.U.A. Church, Portmouth.
He is survived by one daughter, Ashley C. Simon of Portsmouth; one son, Santoio L. Simon of Portsmouth; parents, Gloria C. Winfield and Edward Wright, both of Portsmouth; one sister, Marquitha Swinton of Portsmouth; two brothers, Lorenzo Winfield and Dominic Swinton, both of Portsmouth; maternal grandmother, Doris Winfield, and paternal grandmother, Evelyn Wright, both of Portsmouth; special friend, Khayata Simon; two aunts, Bernice Sykes and Cynthia Watson; and one uncle, Donald Winfield, all of Portsmouth; and cousins, in-laws, and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Nathaniel Winfield, and his paternal grandfather, Milton Newby.
A funeral service will be at noon Tuesday in Mount Nebo R.Z.U.A. Church, Portsmouth, by Dr. David A. Allen Sr. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Monday. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The family will be at 2618 High Street, Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
