A man and woman were killed Saturday when the motorcycle they were on crashed into an interstate lane divider and flipped over it.
State police said the accident happened about 4:30 p.m. on Interstate 64 westbound, about a half-mile west of the Chesapeake Boulevard interchange.
Annamarie Chilis, 25, of Norfolk was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle, Richard Manela, 23, also of Norfolk, died about 7 p.m. at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Witnesses told state police the motorcycle was traveling at between 80 and 90 mph when it hit the wall and flipped into the HOV lanes.
