ANGEL MARTINEZ

Dr. Angel Martinez, 73, of (NU)9 Free Ferry Circle, died Aug. 17, 1995.

Dr. Martinez was born in San Antonio, Texas. He served in the Baptist ministry for 60 years and was an evangelist in the Southern Baptist Convention. He had conducted a series of revival services at First Baptist Church, N. Main Street in Suffolk.

Survivors include his wife, Robbie; two sons, David Martinez of Austin, Texas, and Kent Martinez of Dearborn, Mich.; two granddaughters, Sara and Felicia; two sisters, Tony Cabrera of Austin, Texas, and Virginia McGill of Irving, Texas; and one brother, Evangelist Dr. Homer Martinez.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church, Fort Smith, Ark., by his brother, Dr. Homer Martinez, and Dr. Dale Thompson. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Fort Smith. Edwards Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to AMEN, Inc.
