PORTSMOUTH MAN KILLED

A 32-year-old Portsmouth man died and two other people were injured early Sunday when the car the man was driving slammed into a tree.

Thurston Litrell Gray Jr., whose street address in Portsmouth was not available, was driving at high speed on Cedar Lane just after midnight when the car struck a treenear Museum Drive.

Two passengers, whose names were being withheld until relatives could be notified, were taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center. One was listed in stable condition, the other in critical condition.

No one in the car was wearing a seat belt.
