FREDERICK M. SOHN

Frederick M. Sohn, 81, died Aug. 19, 1995, in a local hospital.

He was a retired boilermaker and foreman for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was born in Norfolk and was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Chruch. He was past master of Elizabeth Masonic Lodge (NU)34; past high priest of Norfolk Royal Arch Chapter (NU)1; past commander of Grice Commandry 16 of Knights Templar; past grand treasurer of Grand Commandry of Virginia; member of Valley of Norfolk Scottish Rites Bodies and K.C.C.H.; Knights of the York; Cross of Honour; King Darius Council (NU)17 Knight Masons of America; Khedive Shrine Temple; Charter Member of Knights Mecca; and Past Patron of Virginia Chapter (NU)22; Order of Eastern Star.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia C. Sohn; one daughter, Patricia C. Sohn of Norfolk; one son, Baxter R. Sohn of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, F. Joseph Hudgins of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at noon today in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Keith Martin. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hampton Roads Chapter (NU)20, The Koger Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, Va. 23502. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
