Russell Eugene Murphy Sr., 58, of the 500 block of Hidden Way, died Aug. 21, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Murphy was a native of Atlanta, and retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Carol L. Murphy; two daughters, Tamarah McNorton of Arizona, Shawn Eugenia of Atlanta; a son, Russell Murphy Jr. of Atlanta; two stepdaughters, Krista Malone and Constance Flaherty, both of Virginia Beach; a stepson, Robert Woodlock of Knotts Island, N.C.; three sisters, Arlene Jones, Dianne Addington, and Loretta Tester, all of Atlanta; and four grandchildren, also of Atlanta.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 184-B Pritchard Road, Virginia Beach, by Aaron Smith. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road, is in charge.
