Maria Balbuena-Buentipo Ricardo, 79, loving mother and grandmother, died Aug. 18, 1995, in a California hospital.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1916, in Bangued, Abra, Philippines. During the 1970's, she resided in Norfolk and attended St. Pius X Catholic Church. Maria was also a member of the Filipino Senior Citizens Community Association in California.
Survivors include her son, Generoso B. Balbuena of Norfolk; four daughters, Blesida Villarico of the Philippines, Agana Estaris, Connie Pauig, and Edna Rillera, all of California; one sister, Prudencia Belisario; one brother, Julian Balbuena, both of California; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She will be reunited in heaven with her husband, Patrocinio; son, Baltazar; and daughter, Victoria.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Aug. 26, 1995, at St. Phllomena's Catholic Church, Carson, Calif. Burial will be at Greenhills Mortuary, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
