Alfred Erwin Schnell, 67, formerly of Norfolk, died Aug. 22, 1995.
Mr. Schnell was born Dec. 5, 1927, in New York City. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Schnell is survived by his wife, Margaret Slagle Schnell of Williamsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Sharon Schnell Day and Dr. Howard Russell Day Sr.; granddaughter, Margaret Louise Day; and grandson, Howard Russell Day Jr., all of Birmingham, Ala.
Funeral service will be today at 11 a.m. in the St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 1333 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, with the Rev. J. Pickett Miles Jr. officiating. Visitation was from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 23, at St. Martin's Episcopal Church.
