Obie Lynch Sr., 73, of 1713 Campostella Road, died Aug. 22, 1995.
He was an electrician and was born in Halifax, N.C.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred N. Lynch; five daughters, Dr. Patricia L. Stith of Tallahassee, Fla., Zenola L. Banks of Chesapeake, Helena L. Dodson of Virginia Beach, Kimberly L. Hall of Chesapeake, and Cheryl A. Lynch of Chesapeake; one son, Obie Lynch Jr. of Portsmouth; one sister, Ruby Mae Solomon of Enfield, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, by the Rev. Hart in St. Mark United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. A wake will be 6 to 7 p.m. at St. Mark on Friday. Pretlow and Sons' Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
