Mary F. Miles, 73, of 1405 Holt St., died Aug. 22, 1995, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
She was born in Portsmouth and was the widow of John W. Miles. Mrs. Miles was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley M. Mitchell and Sharon Williamson, both of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren, Walter Miles, Douglas Miles, Joseph Miles, Curtis Miles, Genoa W. Mitchell III, Deborah Miles, Yvette Miles, Evelyn M. Burns, Pamela Williams and Abbygale Williamson; four great-grandchildren; one aunt, Leona Bivens; nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Walter Miles Sr.
A funeral service will be conducted noon Saturday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. W.S. Hampton. Burial is in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
