Georgia L. Roberts, born Dec. 31, 1932, of the 700 block of Ray St., died Aug. 22, 1995, in Autumn Care Nursing Home, Suffolk.
She was a native of Norfolk County and was the widow of George L. Roberts. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, where she was in the Senior Choir. She was a nursing assistance.
Survivors include one son, Lionel Myers of Chesapeake; three sisters, Reva Lambert of Norfolk, Vernette Corprew of Chesapeake, and Vertia Johnson of Chesapeake; three grandchildren; one aunt, Benuia Swain; one uncle, Lorenzo Holly; three brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, Bells Mill Road, by the Rev. Kim Brown. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing Friday at 3 p.m. in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Saturday. The family will assemble at 1105 Bells Mill Road at noon for the procession.
