Jerry Bryant, 39, of the 800 block of Liberty St., died Aug. 22, 1995, in Sentara Nursing Center of Portsmouth.
Mr. Bryant, a former member of New Hope Baptist Church, Chesapeake, was born in Portsmouth.
Survivors include his mother, Louise D. Bryant of Portsmouth; two sisters, Theresa A. Bryant and Angela A. Bryant, both of Portsmouth; three brothers, Hertford L. Bryant Jr. of Portsmouth, Jeffery Bryant of Lawrenceville, Va., and Stanley Bryant of Virginia Beach; a lifetime devoted friend, Phyllis Shields and also Jessica Bryant; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by Elder C.H. Bowens. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at 3 p.m. Friday.
