Raleigh W. Manley, 89, of 1820 Ohio St., died Aug. 22, 1995.
He was born in Norfolk County and was a member of New Central Baptist Church, Norfolk.
He is survived by his wife, Clentora M. Manley; three daughters, Thelma Young, Joyce Bryant, and Carolyn Carrington, all of Chesapeake; seven sons, Raleigh Manley Jr., Kareem Azeeze, Willie Manley, Alphonso Manley, Jerry Manley, Terry Manley and Maurice Manley, all of Chesapeake; and stepson Luther Askew of Chesapeake; 39 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Central Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Whitaker. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Pretlow and Sons' Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling the arrangements.
