The body of a 26-year-old Suffolk man, missing since a boat sank Sunday in the James River, was found Wednesday off Craney Island.
Wilford Kale, a spokesman for the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, said the body was spotted about 1 p.m. at the shoreline by a crabber and later retrieved by police and the VMRC.
Also located was the sunken 15-foot boat that the man and four of his relatives had been using. The fiberglass boat was found at the bottom of the James River off Interstate 664.
Wednesday's discovery ends a three-day search for two of the five family members thrown from the boat during Sunday's fishing trip. The body of Jonathan Carey, 18, was found Tuesday. Neither man was wearing a life jacket.
The three others - Richard Wynn Carroll, 30, his son, Richard Wynn Carroll Jr., 9, and cousin Solomon Wesley Darden, 12 - swam to an abandoned lighthouse and were rescued eight hours later by the Coast Guard.
