Police and fire personnel were called to the first block of Big Bethel Road at 8:30 a.m. Thursday on the report of a body in the water, a police spokesman said.
The body was identified as Edcure Wright, 62, of Hampton, an Alzheimer's patient who had been missing since Tuesday. Police said an examination showed Wright had drowned.
