Haward Mason Munden, 87, of the 2300 block of Harrell Ave., died Aug. 24, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Munden, a retired optician, was born in Norfolk. Survivors include his wife, Julia Viola Munden; two daughters, Carolyn D. Miller of Chesapeake, and Frances Verona Wright of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Harvey Mason Munden Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, by the Rev. James D. Thomas. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
