Home resales continue to benefit from the effects of lower interest rates, analysts said, pushing the sales of previously owned homes in July up 5 percent last month to an annual rate of 3.99 million. The National Association of Realtors said the July rate was the highest since June 1994. It was also generally higher than predicted by private economists. June resales were also revised upward to an increase of 7 percent from a previously reported 6.5 percent rise. (Bloomberg) by CNB
