It has been happening for years, but with Hurricane Felix it has come to a head. Why do you people to the south and west of us forget that we here on the Eastern Shore are part of Virginia?
While reading the front page of your paper on Aug. 17, I could not believe my eyes. You had a column titled ``What to do when problems arise.'' You had telephone numbers for things such as power outage, gas leaks and more. There were numbers for people in North Carolina. But guess what? None for people on the Eastern Shore!
I watched the news on channels 10 and 13, but saw nothing about us. I ended up tuning into a Maryland station, but it too was concerned with its own area.
I get your paper every morning and really have to search for some news about the Eastern Shore.
I realize we don't have much happening around here, but in a case like Hurricane Felix, it would be nice to be included with the rest of the state.
I'm sure you sell a lot of papers over here. Include us.
