Mae Hobbs Rountree, 84, of Route 1, died Aug. 25, 1995, in her home.
Mrs. Rountree was born in Gates County. The daughter of the late Walter and Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Trotman Hobbs, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and its Women's Missionary Union.
Surviving are her husband, Emmett H. Rountree; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Damascus Christian Church Cemetery, by the Rev. Lisa Creech Bledsoe. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, in charge. Friends may join the family at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gates County Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society.
