SENSELESS SUBSIDY

After reading all the controversy about smoking, I have come to the conclusion that the government is talking out of both sides of its mouth.

On one hand, the surgeon general tells us that smoking is harmful to our health and probably will kill us.

On the other hand, the government gives out subsidies to tobacco farmers to grow tobacco.

How can the president take a tough stance on smoking while promoting the growth of the problem?

As usual, the government doesn't make sense.
