Regarding ``A temple vandalized'' (news, Aug. 21): I must take issue with your comment, ``The only good news in the hate-crime statistics is that 80 percent of those crimes are committed by people under age 20. Better to be bigoted young than old.''

These young bigots were not born bigoted. They were raised bigoted!

Get real. Talk to their parents. You won't believe the hatred you will hear.
