Mary Jane Scott, 90, of the 4000 block of South St., died Sunday, Aug. 27, 1995, in a Suffolk nursing home.
Mrs. Scott was a native of Gates County, N.C., and was the widow of Lester R. Scott Sr. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Hazel S. Smith of Portsmouth; a son, Lester R. Scott Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Pauline Tate of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Sam Daniels and Tobe Daniels, both of Gates County; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery by Dr. William C. Russ. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
