Roben John'ney ``Robbie'' Moss, 17, of Chesapeake, died Aug. 24, 1995, in Powhatan County, Va., from an automobile accident.

Born in Bethesda, Md., she was the daughter of Navy Command Master Chief, Henry Lewis Moss and Elizabeth Marie Moss of Chesapeake. She was a 1995 graduate of Indian River High School. She started her freshman year at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond. During her junior and senior years in high school, she was active in Delta Gamma Zino, Chess Club, Junior Honor Society, Indian River High School Choral Ensemble, Yearbook Committee, Senior Prom Committee, Baccalaureate Committee, Pals for Peers, Prom Promise Committee, was a Virginian-Pilot high school correspondent, All-City Honors Choir, member of the Chesapeake Student Leadership Forum, chairman of Delegates for Student Council Association, was in the Miss Indian River Pageant (1995), and played on the volleyball and soccer teams. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Westmunden in Chesapeake and its Young Adult and Gospel choirs.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Keshia Denise Moss and India Marie Moss, both of Chesapeake; paternal grandmother, Cleo Moss of Cleveland, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Robert Goings Sr. and Dorothy M. Goings of Washington, D.C.; nine uncles; six aunts; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Westmunden, 1541 Lyons Ave., Chesapeake, with the Rev. Dr. John L. Ashby officiating. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The procession will leave from 2509 Lamp Post Court, Chesapeake, Va. 23325.
