Thomas C. McCoy, 84, of the 3900 block of High St., died Aug. 27, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. McCoy was formerly employed as a bus driver and also worked with the Bank of Virginia for 20 years. He was a native of Chesapeake and a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and the Ed Cuthriell Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Inez N. McCoy; one son, Thomas C. McCoy and his wife Linda of Portsmouth; two granddaughters, Suzanne M. Bergstedt and her husband Christopher of Southern Pines, N.C., and Kristen M. Lee and her husband Brett of Wilmington, N.C.; one brother, John Sylvester McCoy of Edenton, N.C.; and two sisters, Ida Doerr and Marybelle Thebeau, both of Edenton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernie Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
