Myra Belanga Owens, 75, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 1995, at University Park, Richmond, Va.
Mrs. Owens, a native of Grandy, had been living in Richmond. She was a retired domestic supervisor with the hotel industry and was a member of Powells Point Christian Church. She was the daughter of the late James Belanga and Gertie Beasley Belanga and was the widow of Leon Rudolph Owens.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Toby O.) Brown of Richmond; a son, Clyde Roland Owens Sr. and wife Brenda of Middleburg, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Owens of Harbinger, Mrs. Clara Potter of Norfolk and Mrs. Phyllis Pafford of Louisiana; two grandsons, Clyde Roland Owens Jr. and James Ryan Owens, both of Richmond.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Powells Point Christian Church in Harbinger with the Rev. Glenn A. White officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall following the service. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements.
