William Joseph McGronan Jr., 68, died Aug. 27, 1995.
He was born Dec. 3, 1926, in New York. He was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Muhlmeyer McGronan; four daughters, Barbara ``B.J.'' Asbell of Raleigh, N.C., Debra M. Shaw of Virginia Beach, Elizabeth ``Tish'' Brown of Virginia Beach, and Candace ``Candy'' Gordon of Edenton, N.C.; a sister, Lorraine Cronin of New Jersey; three golf partners posing as sons-in-law; four wonderful grandchildren; and friends who cared a great deal.
He was predeceased by one son, William J. McGronan III, in October 1991.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kill Devil Hills, N.C., on Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the American Heart Association.
