Inez Walden Sweat, 88, of the 4300 block of Point West Drive, died Aug. 28, 1995.
She was the widow of Reginald W. Sweat and was a homemaker. She was a member of Park View Baptist Church and was a native of Black Shear, Ga.
She is survived by two daughters, Latrelle S. Hill and husband, Calvin Hill of Newport News, and Mary Lou Abbott Taylor and husband, John Taylor of Portsmouth; one son, Reginald Sweat Jr. and wife, Betty Sweat of Hickory, N.C.; two sisters, Cynthia Mae Lovette of Black Shear, Ga., and Pearl Geiger of Florida; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Loving Funeral Home by Dr. Robert Forehand and Dr. T.J. Powers. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
