Helen B. Cofield, 80, of the 1000 block of Lindenwood Ave., died Aug. 28, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Coefield, a retired Norfolk Naval Shipyard clerk, was born in Norfolk. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elnora Brown. She was a member of St. Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for over 70 years.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Kester L. Cofield Sr.; two sons, Kester L. Cofield Jr. of Columbia, Md., and Everett Tamiroff Cofield Sr. of Norfolk; a brother, George T. Brown Jr. of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in St. Paul C.M.E. Church, by the Rev. T.M. McKenney. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Graves Funeral Home in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
