CRABCAKES

Denise Holden

Crabcakes, which will appear each Friday in The Beacon, is the

creation of Denise Holden, a 32-year-old Navy brat who has spent

most of her time right here in Virginia Beach. She's a graduate of

First Colonial High School and Old Dominion University and has been

drawing since she was a tyke. She has worked as an animator for a

local film company and as a T-shirt designer. Holden is married and

recently became a mom.
