Christine ``Teannie'' Durham, 79, of 806 Bouie Court, died Aug. 29, 1995, in Beverly Manor of Portsmouth.
She was born in Elizabeth City, N.C., and was a retired custodian of Manor High School of the Portsmouth City Public School System. She was the widow of Andrew Durham and she was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church, Portsmouth. She was also a member of the Relief Usher Board, and she was a former member of the Charity Club, both of St. Mark Baptist Church.
She is survived by fours sisters, Eula Roach of Elizabeth City, Telia Smith of Portsmouth, Ruth Smith and Bettie Turner, both of Chesapeake; four brothers, Albert Griffin of Chesapeake, Garfield Griffin of Portsmouth, Joshua Griffin of Elizabeth City, and David Griffin of Windfall, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday in St. Mark Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by Curtis E. Edmonds Sr. Burial is in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. today. The family will be at 1517 Centre Ave., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service. The body will be taken to church at 11 a.m. Saturday.
