Ebbie Johnson Quesenberry, 85, of the 300 block of London Bridge Road, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 1995, in his residence.
He was a native of Indian Valley, Va., and retired in 1983 after 26 years as a carpenter with R.L. DeHart Enterprises. Ebbie was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church, and was the beloved husband for 62 years of Helen Turpin Quesenberry.
In addition to his wife, Helen, he is survived by three sisters, Ilene Crigler of Radford, Va., Evelyn Lasher of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Dean Morris of Radford, Va.; six brothers, Roy Quesenberry of Dublin, Va., Walter Quesenberry of Vallejo, Calif., Wiley Quesenberry of Radford, Va., Hassell Roop of Radford, Va., Vinson Quesenberry of Shawsville, Va., and Barney Quesenberry of Salt Lake City, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. in London Bridge Baptist Church, by the Rev. Tommy J. Taylor. Burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the London Bridge Baptist Church Building Fund, 2460 Potters Road, Virginia Beach, 23454.
