Gabriel Sward, 95, of the 200 block of South Newtown Road, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 1995, in a Chesapeake hospital.
He was a retired National Sales Representative for numerous flower companies based in Chicago. He was born in Riga, Latvia, and was the widower of Eva Mancoff Sward. Mr. Sward was a member of the Isaac Cutter Masonic Lodge in Chicago.
Survivors include a daughter, Charna Sue Waldman of Niles, Ill.; a son, Dr. Sidney B. Sward, Ph.D., of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The body will be sent from Cox Funeral Home to Lloyd Mandel Levayah Funeral Home in Chicago for funeral services and burial in the Jewish Graceland Cemetery.
