Francis Ridgway ``Ridge'' Lineaweaver, 90, of the 5000 block of Bay Circle, died Aug. 30, 1995, in Norfolk.
He worked as a foreign service officer for the State Department and he served as the American Consul in Nassau, Amsterdam, Holland, Montreal, Canada, Havana and Cienfuegos, Cuba, Bahia and Recife Brazil, Mazatlan, San Luis Potosi and Guadalajara Mexico, Porta of Spain, Trinidad and Barbados. He was the widower of Frances Gibbons Lineaweaver and he was an Episcopal. He was a graduate of the Haverford School and Yale University class of 1927. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Sons of The Revolution, and he was also a member of the Diplomatic and Consuler Officers. He was a native of Lebanon, Pa.
Mr. Lineaweaver is survived by one daughter, Adele L. Lehnert of Portsmouth; one son, Francis Ridgway Lineaweaver Jr. of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren, Karen Kline of Chesapeake, Laurel Johnson of Ashville, N.C., Nancy Leigh Lehnert of Hampton, Sean Lineaweaver of Seattle, Wash. and Mark Lineaweaver of Denver, Colo.; and four great-grandchildren, Jared and Summer McBride, Kaitlin and Benjamin Johnson.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday by Dr. Walt C. Hunting in Loving Funeral Home Chapel with visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
