James E. Morris, 90, of the 7000 block of Auburn Ave., died Aug. 29, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.
Mr. Morris worked in the Civil Service Commission at Norfolk Naval Base for 10 years. He was born in Edenton, N.C., and was a member and usher at Zion Light Church Disciples of Christ, Norfolk.
Survivors include two daughters, Odell Haskins, Wyoming Robertson, both of Norfolk; three sons, Foster C. Fields, E. Byrd, M. Elliott, all of Norfolk; one sister, Alice Sutlette of Norfolk; one brother, Sydney Parker of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Zion Light Church Disciples of Christ, Norfolk, by Elder Best. The remains will be cremated. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home in charge.
