Gertrude Stancell Bradshaw, 89, of 203 Pond Drive, died Aug. 30, 1995, in Obici Hospital.
She was a school bus driver for the Nansemond County School System. She was born in Margaretsville, N.C., and and was the widow of Ocie Columbus Bradshaw. Mrs. Bradshaw was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church where she was involved in the Ladies Star Class.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise B. Howell of Suffolk, and Jean B. Rector of Weaverville, N.C.; one sister, Elizabeth J. Sadler of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; five grandchildren, B. Gary Howell of Suffolk, W. Mason Howell of Suffolk, Wanda A. Edwards of Arden, N.C, Betty A. Felton of Woolwich, Maine, and Eric Alexander of Dublin, Ga.; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday by the the Rev. Drs. Merle D. Correll and Bruce A. Havens, in Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial is in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the Hill Funeral Home today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., and at other times in the residence. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Christian Church Building Fund, 1549 Holland Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
