Tenneco Automotive will buy an auto-parts plant in the Czech Republic, its parent company announced Thursday. Houston-based Tenneco Inc. didn't disclose the terms of the transaction. The plant near Prague is the sole supplier of struts and shock absorbers for Czech automaker Skoda Automobile. It employs 600 and had sales of $20 million in 1994. Tenneco also announced that it has completed its previously announced purchase of Manufacturos Fonos SL, an exhaust-system manufacturer in Spain. It also said that it has formed a joint venture in India with Hydraulics Ltd., a maker of ride-control systems. by CNB
