Regarding ``Drivers don't signal'' (letter, Aug. 21), I am very confused.
Do the basic rules for driving differ in different parts of the United States?
I have always thought the person making a lane change was required to yield the right-of-way.
In other words, make a lane change only when the right-of-way is clear. Don't expect the driver in the next lane to slow down. I have had to use my brakes for lane changers with no cars following me.
Please, someone clarify this situation.
