Roscoe T. Bowser, 80, of the 3400 block of Downes St., died Aug. 31, 1995.
He was a retired roofer and a native of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. He was a member of Union Bethel Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy V. Bowser; four daughters, Christine Gray of Baltimore, Md., Betty Steele of Sacramento, Calif., Patricia Bowser of Portsmouth, and Jacqueline Spells of Chesapeake; four sons, Roscoe T. Bowser Jr., George E. Bowser of Portsmouth, Larry D. Bowser and Glenwood L. Bowser of Chesapeake; one sister, Bessie Brown of Portsmouth; one brother, Leon Bowser of Portsmouth; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Union Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Ralph D. Harris. Burial will be in Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family will be at the residence. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
