Gary Joseph Baum, 40, of the 800 block of Brandon Ave., owner and operator of East Ghent Construction Co., died Aug. 29, 1995, at his home.
Mr. Baum was a native of Norfolk.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Margie T. Dailey of Chesapeake; his father, Abraham Baum of Norfolk; three sisters, Rachel A. Buns and her husband, Phillip of Norfolk, Julie L. Miller and her husband, Paul of Macedon, N.Y., Denise M. Dailey of Chesapeake; twin brother, Larry T. Baum of Norfolk; grandmother, Mary B. Thompson; his aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Boykin of Reidsville, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Hensley of Elizabeth City; and his loving companion, Janet M. Deanes of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 1995, in the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg and Cantor Jacob Tessler. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the favorite charity of donor's choice.
